Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This stage enters the Toledo Hills region. The profile becomes more demanding, with continuous ups and downs through an olive grove landscape. It's a beautiful day that leaves the plain to approach the mountain. Arrival in Mora, a famous town known for its olive oil, offers a final stage with a strong flavor of tradition and cuisine.
The stage between Tembleque and Mora is a transition journey that takes the pilgrim from the plain to the foothills of the Toledo Mountains. The profile becomes more undulating, with continuous ups and downs. The landscape changes, and the fields of grain give way to an olive grove. The region is one of the main producers of olive oil in the area. The path runs on dirt tracks, in a beautiful environment. Arrival at Mora marks the end of the stage. This important town is the capital of the region and the center of olive oil production. Its castle, although ruined, dominates the landscape. The village has all the necessary services for the pilgrim and is an ideal place to taste the excellent local olive oil.
