Stage Description
This long stage connects the capital of Cantabria with one of Spain's most beautiful villages. The route is a continuous rise and fall along the central coast of Cantabria, through a landscape of meadows and small villages. It is an demanding journey due to the distance. Arrival in Santillana del Mar, "the village of three lies", is a time travel. Its medieval old town, perfectly preserved, with its stone houses and Romanesque Collegiate church, is an unbeatable cultural reward.
