Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
Stage that goes into the Sierra de Espadán and Javalambre. The 23 km climb steadily up the Palancia valley towards the highlands of Teruel. Barracas is a small town in Castellón on the border with Teruel, at an altitude of almost 1,000 m, with a landscape of pine forests and mountain cereal fields. This is a demanding stage due to the accumulated difference in altitude.
This stage is a journey to the heart of Don Quixote's La Mancha. The route is flat and monotonous at times, a landscape of cereal fields and vineyards. The arrival in Socuéllamos, a village with a rich heritage and great Jacobean tradition, is an end-of-stage finale with charm. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and universal literature.
