A Gudiña

A Gudiña is a municipality in Ourense province that presents itself as the entry point to Galicia for pilgrims who are walking on the Camino Sanabrés. After the Zamora stages, this locality marks an inflection point on the route, offering a warm welcome to Galician lands. Its strategic importance lies in being an important communication hub and a fundamental service center in a mountainous area with dispersed populations. For the pilgrim, A Gudiña is an ideal place to replenish strength, provision, and prepare for the next stages that remain demanding. The town has hostels, restaurants, and everything necessary for rest. Although it does not have a great monumental heritage, its value lies in its hospitality and its role of support.
