Pedrouzo, also known as Arca or Amenal, is the last major campsite base for the thousands of pilgrims on the Camino Francés. Situated just 20 kilometers from the Cathedral, this village in the municipality of O Pino has become the ultimate final stop before the triumphant journey to Santiago. The streets are filled with a special energy, a mix of accumulated fatigue and euphoria at being close to the finish line. The town is completely geared towards pilgrims, offering an immense range of hostels, pensions, bars, and restaurants. It's where the last details are fine-tuned, the final meals are shared, and friendships forged that will cross the finish line in the Plaza del Obradoiro.
