Caudete is a historic village in the province of Albacete, an important stop on the Camino del Sureste. Its heritage is marked by its past as a borderland territory. It preserves the remains of its original Arab castle and a notable religious patrimony, such as the church of Saint Catherine and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace. The village has a noble atmosphere and services for pilgrims. It is an ideal place for a cultural break, to explore the region's history and enjoy local cuisine, in which gachamiga stands out.
